Overview of installing an eco sac bladder

Supplier will provide detailed installation details.

  • The system must be installed by a licensed plumber or an accredited installer to validate the warranty and ensure the system operates correctly.
  • Installations must conform to the Plumbing Code of Australia & NZ AS/NZS 3500 and HB230-2006 Rainwater Tank Installation Handbook.
  • Open packaging
  • Prepare the site – install on a concrete base or place a concrete paver under each leg so that the frame is not on the ground
  • Install inlet pipe work
  • Install downpipe connections & filtrations
  • .Ensure correct overflow pipe work – overflow pipe work must allow unrestricted flow of water from the bladder to the storm water - ensure no cross connection between the overflow drain and the inlet stormwater drainage system
  • Fit ‘Fail-Safe Relief Flap Valve’ or install a gully trap with an air gap - to prevent over filling
  • Set up frame & bladder ensure the frame does not touch any part of the building structure
  • Connect inlet pipes
  • Connect outlet pipes - ensure outlet fittings are tight
  • Position the bladder in the frame
  • Attach air vent with mosquito protection
  • Install pump according to manufactures directions - ensuring an appropriate power outlet is provided
  • Connect additional bladders to the first, at the same level to prevent overfilling of either bladder
